They're everywhere! They're everywhere!

Logos, that is! Your kennel gives theirs on key chains. The bank's is on a pen. The dentist, optician, and pizza place have theirs on fridge magnets. Others are on mouse pads or travel mugs. Most companies, though, put it where it's most visible, so you're basically a walking advertisement!

We have a large collection of various logos, whether we want them or not, and that makes a guy like Ronn Goodier very happy! Bet you never gave much thought to how the logo-sized item gets from the logo-er to the logo-ee.

It wasn't always his job. It spun out of his other endeavor as a manufacturer's representative. The company is called Wholesale Services, an ad specialty company. "This business actually enhances my relationship with the clients I deal with on the other level", says Ronn. "We're a fulfillment house that meets the need for any item that can display a logo".

"We deal with custom business apparel, award type things for efficiency, safety and punctuality, trade show gifts, car dealership give-aways, etc. We have three catalogs full of merchandise! It just depends on their intended use. Some customers put logos on anything, wherever they can get the most bang for their buck!"

About the strangest request Ronn has received so far was for a rear-view mirror for a computer, so a worker can see when someone comes up behind her. One of the most useful was a car visor clip for sunglassess.

With digitized sewing machines, any logo is possible. "The more intricate the design, the more beautiful it is", says Ronn. "And brand names are becoming very popular for custom apparel. Polo, Ping, Hilfiger, Ping, Nautica, and Izod, and even Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman are getting into the act!"

Ronn and his family have been in Ft. Bend County for 21 years. He and his children, Jace and Micah, love it here, and have no intention of ever going back to Indiana, where he earned a business degree in 1971. You'll find one of Ronn's early successes on the shelf at Home Depot. He helped to develop and patent a product called Jomax. It's especially popular now, given the fact that it's an effective mold killer!
